Painter and Decorator

We are looking for an experienced Painter to join an ongoing social housing maintenance contract, carrying out painting works to void properties across Birmingham, Dudley and the surrounding areas.

The Role

You will be responsible for preparing and painting properties ready for new tenants. The workload is ongoing, with an expected 2–3 properties per week.

Duties

• Painting and decorating void social housing properties

• Preparing surfaces prior to painting

• Applying magnolia and white paint throughout properties

• Ensuring all work is completed to a good standard

• Carrying out minor making-good works where required

• Keeping properties clean and tidy throughout the works

Desirable Skills

It would be ideal if candidates also have experience with:

• Minor patch plastering

• Mastic/sealant works

• General making-good

These additional skills are desirable but not essential.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Painter/Decorator

• Experience working on void properties or within social housing would be advantageous

• Good attention to detail and quality of finish

• Able to work independently and manage your own workload

• Reliable and available for an immediate start on Monday

Work Available

This is ongoing work, with approximately 2–3 properties per week available across Birmingham, Dudley and surrounding areas.
